Apex Court stays Goa govts’ decision to cancel PG admissions: NEET

The Apex Court has stayed the Goa government’s decision to cancel the admissions granted for postgraduate courses to 42 students from the state on the basis of NEET.

The order said, “Until further orders, operation of the impugned order dated 25th July, 2013 passed by the Public Health Department of the Government of Goa shall remain stayed” informs India Today.

Apex Court stays Goa govts’ decision to cancel PG admissions. It may be noted that medical students selected through the NEET for the postgraduate course at the Goa Medical College (GMC) had filed a petition in the Supreme Court challenging state government decision to cancel the permission, after apex court quashed NEET.

The court, however, made it clear that its verdict will not affect the admissions, which have already taken place for the academic year 2013-14.
